Shatterproof, hypoallergenic and bio-compatible, Forge has utilized Tantalum to create the most wearable contemporary metal wedding bands on the market. Because it cuts so easily, Tantalum is also one of the safest metals to remove in an emergency. Characterized by a richly saturated blue-grey color, Benchmark's Tantalum wedding rings are as elegant and luxurious as their gold and platinum counterparts.

A Trusted Family Owned Business Since 1937

Starting as a watch repair shop along Highway 101 in Newport, Oregon, our family began a business we never expected would grow to become the great jewelry store it is today. From Newport to North Portland to Lake Oswego, we have served the communities of Oregon for four generations. We have had the opportunity to be a part of our clients' happiest moments—from engagements and marriages to starting their own families, and we couldn't have asked for a better industry to be in.

Ethically Sourced and Hand Selected Diamonds

In compliance with United Nations Resolution and Kimberley Process, all diamonds sold by Lake Oswego Jewelers have been purchased from legitimate and responsible sources not involved in funding conflict. Lake Oswego Jewelers hereby guarantees that its diamonds and colored gemstones are conflict-free based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by our precious gemstone suppliers. We want our customers to wear jewelry that is not only beautiful but also socially positive.

Responsible Practices and Resources

Specializing in custom jewelry gives us many opportunities to make heirloom pieces for a lifetime of customers. When sourcing precious metals like gold and platinum, we do so from refiners who adhere to the same principals we do. Their goal is to take each metal down to its most basic form and perform most of the refining process here in the United States. Then we use these freshly recycled pure metals in our customers' jewelry all while complying with all applicable Federal, EPA, state, and local regulations.

Friends of the Community

We understand the value of giving back and supporting a community that you live in. We opened our Lake Oswego store back in 1986 when we fell in love with the town—so much that we raised a family here, and now the next generation has followed suit. We donate to local charities and schools and support as many local businesses as possible. Our customers are an extended part of the family and we always take the best care of our family. Take a look at our customer reviews to see what others are saying about us.

When You Find The Right Fit

When receiving a new piece of jewelry, it is very important for it to fit correctly. Just like a fine tailored suit, all jewelry should be adjusted to the person wearing it. For example, when a ring fits properly it should slide on fairly easy but come off with a bit of resistance. This is a normal fit and if you size your ring to your knuckle, it will be too big for your finger. Print out our Fit Guide when looking to surprise a special someone with a ring.
